The Basic 8 techniques of Tai Chi movements

Before learning any form of Tai Chi, it is best to get accustom with some basic moves, steps and weight distribution. For beginner, this helps the student to get to know his or her own body’s feel and balance.

The first technique is like shuffling a deck of cards in front of you (imagine, there is a line that cut you in half and this line is extended a metre forward: this hand movement is then executed towards the centre line alternately), as shown in the video:
