The Basic 8 techniques of Tai Chi movements

Before learning any form of Tai Chi, it is best to get accustom with some basic moves, steps and weight distribution. For beginner, this helps the student to get to know his or her own body’s feel and balance.

The 5th technique is test one’s balance, lift up the knee in steadiness-金雞獨立 and the 6th 右、左蹬脚 to extend the leg fully with the toes curl back and both movements are shown below:
